WWE News: Bret Hart Believes Owen Hart Will Be In 2015 Hall Of Fame
Bret Hart has revealed that he believes his brother Owen will be inducted into the 2015 WWE Hall Of Fame. The comments came during Bret's Q and A tour of the UK, with the report coming from the Manchester event. Bret further elaborated that Owen's widow Martha believed Owen hated wrestling, but he sees that as a complete lie. Bret then expressed regret that Owen's kids haven't got to see Owen at his best, for which he blames Martha's WWE grudge for not helping matters. He doesn't understand why she would want to erase Owen's legacy. This is obviously a deeply personal and complex issue. Some would argue against Bret it's Owen's immediate family who should have the prerogative to whether WWE can base their product around Owen in 2015. You can partly understand why Martha would be unwilling to allow the McMahon's to make money off of Owen's name headlining a superficial Hall Of Fame. Bret himself was anti WWE co-operation for years, but now obviously believes that a WWE Hall Of Fame spot is a necessary requirement for Owen's legacy. It's an opinion that will no doubt prove popular with wrestling fans, Owen was one of the biggest stars of the mid 90's. He certainly deserves the Hall Of Fame spot. He was one of the soundest technical wrestlers of his generation, opening up the way for future stars in the smaller size mould. If WWE are set to induct the star next year, expect it to be one of the very biggest inductions ever, this will be an announcement that generates both wrestling buzz and mainstream media.
