WWE News: Rob Van Dam To Return The Night After WrestleMania 30
The latest Wrestling Observer is reporting Rob Van Dam is scheduled for the 7th April Raw. This will be the night after WrestleMania 30, continuing WWE's tradition of booking major returns and angles on the post-Mania Raw. Van Dam previously featured in WWE during 2013, returning in July of that year for a unspectacular run to October. To be fair to WWE, the part time contract he agreed with Triple H, meant it was a bit pointless to feature him strongly. It's unknown if his latest agreement will be different and involve a longer run, but the fact he will re-debut on the post-Mania Raw is a promising sign he's part of bigger plans. Fans will certainly be hoping that in 2014 we see a more involved Van Dam, who at his best, can be one of the finest on-air assets the company uses. The Wrestling Observer states his new deal will involve a "several month run", but in truth that could be anything from 3 months to 9 months. We'll just have to wait to see. Aged 43 he hardly needs the hassle of the road, Van Dam is a rich man, he enjoys his laid-back lifestyle in sunny California. The suspicion will be that Van Dam has agreed a slightly longer run than last year, but is still nowhere near interested anything near a full time role. These are exciting times for WWE around the conclusion of WrestleMania and refreshment of where WWE goes next. One thing for sure, things are looking good with The Whole FN Show Rob Van Dam back on the April 7th Raw.
