WWE NXT Tag Team Titles Declared Vacant Due To Danny Burch's Injury
Danny Burch's separated shoulder just lost him and Oney Lorcan the NXT Tag Team Titles.
Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan have been made to vacate the NXT Tag Team Championships after Burch suffered a separated shoulder on last week's show.
NXT General Manager William Regal announced the decision on Twitter yesterday, promising further updates on tonight's episode:-
I can confirm this incredibly unfortunate news and make the difficult decision to vacate the #WWENXT Tag Team Titles. Furthermore, I will address the state of the titles further tomorrow night on @WWENXT. https://t.co/z3iQdC1Ruc

Prior to this, WWE host Matt Camp officially confirmed the separated shoulder, which was suffered when Burch and Lorcan were wrestling Karrion Kross and Finn Balor:-
As first reported on the #NXTInjuryReport, @strongstylebrit suffered a shoulder injury and I can now confirm, along with the following X-ray, that Danny suffered a separated shoulder. @RealKingRegal told me he will be providing an update shortly to the NXT Universe. pic.twitter.com/Sr9XVTt4Eo

Lorcan is now set to go one-on-one with Kross tonight, having demanded the match on Twitter. Oney had been left to defeat his opponents alone when Burch was hurt on a double suplex spot last week.
Burch and Lorcan had been NXT Tag Team Champions since October 2020, when they took the straps from Breezango. Their reign brought successful defences against Breezango in their rematch, Drake Maverick and Killian Dain, and Kross and Balor.
There's currently no word on how long Burch will be sidelined for. We wish him all the best for a speedy recovery.
