WWE's black-and-gold brand goes retro for next Network special.

WWE In Your House is back, in NXT form.

Last night's episode of NXT saw Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Road Dogg confirmed that the black-and-gold brand's next TakeOver event would revive the old In Your House format to celebrate the first event's 25th anniversary. It'll stream live on the WWE Network on Sunday 7 June.

A fitting time to bring the brand back, not only because of the anniversary, but also because we're all still stuck in our own houses. This was part of Triple H's announcement, before HBK and Road Dogg bantered him off for his first In Your House bout being the embarrassing hog pen match with Henry O. Godwinn.

In Your House was introduced in May 1995. They were shorter, cheaper shows running for approximately two hours, and designed to supplement WWE's big four pay-per-views on the annual calendar. The last one was IYH 27: St. Valentine's Day Massacre on 14 February 1999, headlined by Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon inside a steel cage.

Here's hoping that WWE goes all-in on the concept by bringing back the old set. Johnny Gargano has already called one of the night's biggest spots:-
