NXT’s Ridge Holland has undergone surgery after suffering multiple injuries while catching Oney Lorcan on this Wednesday’s show.

Per the latest NXT Injury Report video, Holland had dislocated and fractured his left ankle as well as suffering a right knee patellar dislocation and patellar tendon rupture. The dislocated knee was dealt with at ringside, with the officials popping it back into place, while the ankle dislocation was tended to in the hospital. Holland went under the knife on Thursday.

There is currently no word on how long the former professional rugby player will be out for, but here’s to a speedy recovery.

Holland, 32, was brawling with Lorcan after scoring a victory over his tag partner, Danny Burch. Lorcan dived on the larger man, who was attempting to catch him on the outside of the ring when the injuries happened. The two wrestlers were quickly separated, an official threw up the dreaded X symbol, and Ridge was taken away on a stretcher, giving the cameras a thumbs-up as he went.

The injury happened at an awful time for Holland, who was seemingly in line for a big push after assaulting former NXT Champion Adam Cole at TakeOver 31, carting his body through the Capitol Wrestling Center and dropping him over the barricade.
