WWE's 'Twisted Sister' caught the eye at Royal Rumble 2019.

WWE main roster newcomer Nikki Cross could be in line for a push after Royal Rumble 2019, according to PW Insider.

Per the report, WWE officials were "pleasantly surprised" by the big crowd reaction Cross received when entering the women's Royal Rumble at number eight. They were into her throughout, and while the Scot has been soft-launched without specific Raw or SmackDown affiliation, it looks like crowds are already into her.

Cross lasted just nine minutes in the Rumble, scoring no eliminations during her time in the ring. Her run commenced with her booting the avoidant Billie Kay, then scaling the turnbuckle and splashing onto all the other competitors, though she was eventually eliminated by both IIconics.

As divisive as it is, Nikki's unhinged character was super over in Full Sail University. Her popularity extends far beyond her Sanity stablemates, and while many assume she'll eventually settle with Eric Young, Killian Dain, and Alexander Wolfe on SmackDown, her surprising Rumble pop may take Cross in a different direction.

Wherever she lands, it's encouraging to hear such reports about a non-Lynch/Rousey/Flair woman. Here's hoping Nikki goes on to enjoy a long, prosperous main roster career.
