As per Dave Meltzer, WWE has plans to do more feuds involving main roster talent locking horns with NXT stars.

Speaking on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer stated how WWE wants to continue to have Raw or SmackDown stars mixing it up with the faces of NXT 2.0 as a way to help improve the ratings of the weekly NXT broadcast.

Of course, right now we have Raw's Dolph Ziggler - himself a two-time World Champion - butting heads with both Tommaso Ciampa and Bron Breakker. With him and his Dirty Dawgs partner Bobby Roode having lost to Ciampa and Finn Balor on last night's Raw, the Show-Off is scheduled to go one-on-one with the Blackheart on tonight's NXT. In addition to that, it looks like Ziggler will also be stepping up to face NXT Champion Breakker down the line.

The expectation right now is that Dolph will be appearing in NXT 2.0 until April, which suggests he'll be involved in the brand's Stand & Deliver event during WrestleMania Weekend. Once Ziggler wraps up in NXT, another main roster talent is expected to then head to the brand for a short stint - with said talent likely to be from the Raw roster due to how both Raw and NXT air on the USA Network.

Ziggler isn't the only main roster star to appear in NXT recently, for AJ Styles embarked on a mini-feud with Grayson Waller, and former NXT favourite Riddle returned to the brand as MSK's 'shaman'.
