WWE Put Sean O'Haire Through Sponsored Rehab Six Times Over 6 Years
The former WWE superstar battled personal demons in the lead up to his suicide.
Sean OHaires recent death brought his name rushing back into the limelight, however, it was for tragic reasons. The former WCW and WWE superstar had faded into relative obscurity over the past decade. No longer performing as a professional wrestler, OHaire found work as a bodyguard and bouncer, before venturing into the world of the hair stylist. In the early 2000s, OHaire was prominently featured on WCW television as a member of the Natural Born Thrillers stable. He was able to secure the WCW World Tag Team Championship on three separate occasions in a span of just three months. However, OHaire floundered in the WWE as it seemed the company simply did not know what to do with him. On September 8th, Sean Christopher Haire was found dead inside his Spartanburg, South Carolina home. Since the initial report of his death, further information has been released about the nature of his passing. Its been reported that OHaire tragically commit suicide inside his home, hanging himself with a rope tied to his bedpost. Now, more information is coming out about Sean OHaires life since leaving the world of professional wrestling. TMZ is reporting that the former superstar had entered six different WWE-sponsored rehabilitation programs as he struggle with alcohol addiction. His most recent stint in rehab supposedly took place earlier this year. If nothing else, OHaires struggle with alcohol proves that he was just another human being. Everyone battles their own personal demons, and unfortunately, OHaires got the best of him. While his death was due to an apparent suicide by hanging, the Spartanburg coroner is still awaiting toxicology results to determine if any drugs or alcohol may have played a part. O'Haire was reportedly battling a deep depression prior to his death. Furthermore, the news of his battle with alcohol has led to speculation that perhaps it was a factor in his mindset at the time of his death. However, nothing has been confirmed at this time and should be considered pure speculation until the results of the toxicology test are released.
