It looks like Shelton Benjamin and R-Truth are now an official WWE tag team.

Fightful Select reports that the duo are now "officially listed as a pairing internally." This follows their first and only tag team match together on the 3 October Main Event tapings, where they were defeated by NXT duo Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs, who were making their main roster debuts.

That episode of Main Event aired on 6 October. WWE appeared to be going for an odd couple dynamic with Benjamin and Truth, who argued with each other throughout the bout, leading to their demise.

Neither Truth nor Benjamin has wrestled a single Raw match since Paul 'Triple H' Levesque was appointed head of creative in the wake of Vince McMahon's late-July deposal as Chairman and CEO. Truth's last bout on the red brand came on 11 July, while Shelton's was a 26 June appearance in a Money In The Bank qualifying battle royal. Pre-Truth, Benjamin had been teaming with Cedric Alexander in a Hurt Business reprisal, though this has since ended.

The 24/7 Championship scene in which Truth was once a mainstay has also vanished on Triple H's watch. With its complete lack of appearances since Vince's departure, its future looks precarious.
