The 7th June 2020 WWE Network event saw many firsts for the beloved NXT brand. It was the first time a TakeOver was without a paying audience in attendance, the first TakeOver to move back in to Full Sail University in four years and, of course, the first revival of the In Your House banner since St. Valentine's Day Massacre in February 1999.
The main event saw NXT Women's Champion, Charlotte Flair, defend against Io Shirai and her WrestleMania opponent, Rhea Ripley. TakeOver debutant, Karrion Kross, along with Scarlett, looked to make former champion, Tommaso Ciampa "Fall & Prey". Meanwhile, Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream duked it out in a Last Chance Backlot Brawl, the brand's first cinematic feature.
In the undercard, 'The Prince' and the 'Archer Of Infamy' went toe-to-toe, the North American Title was on the line and a Six Women Tag Team contest opened the proceedings. Fans were treated to a fair share of nostalgia too, including retro graphics, the set of the house, and an introduction from Todd Pettengill.
Score ten out of ten, and one lucky WhatCulture fan will...not win a house.
