WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (Oct 9)

6. Ungentlemanly Conduct

Jack Gallagher
WWE

Jack Gallagher wrestled on Monday Night Raw for the first time in forever this week, highlighting perhaps that the Cruiserweight Division really has benefited under the gaze of new champion Enzo Amore. For those that may not have seen 205 Live recently (and there are presumably as many empty seats in front of televisions as there are in arenas), it may have been a shock to see the moustachioed Brit sporting formal wear as part of his new heel role alongside longstanding rival The Brian Kendrick.

As a recently-minted villain, Gallagher has updated his presentation in an effort to stand out amongst the other high flyers and technical maestros he keeps company with. It's smart thinking for sure, as it was when Low Ki first did it back in 2013 for New Japan Pro Wrestling, and again for Global Force Wrestling just this year.

Almost nothing in wrestling is brand spanking new anymore of course, but Gallagher's twice been guilty of patter theft this year alone. As a 'Gentleman', he regularly employed an umbrella in his matches, and got over enough with it to justify extensive horseplay in the Royal Rumble match. Marty Scurll had to literally stamp a Bullet Club logo on his own brolly to reclaim ownership of the gimmick.
