Well, that escalated quickly...

While WWE's decision to return to Raw's spiritual home - The Manhattan Center - for the show's 25th Anniversary Episode was a good idea in theory, it turned out to be a colossal disaster, with the crowd "treated" to only a handful of segments throughout the night.

They got a terrible Bray Wyatt vs. Matt Hardy match, a DX segment, a nothing promo from The Undertaker, Balor Club squashing The Revival, and nothing else. Understandably, they were incensed:-

Social media was flooded with similar posts throughout the night. There were chants of "we want refunds" by fans who'd paid $400 for what they thought would be a fun, nostalgia-filled ride through Raw's rich history, but were served a flat, lifeless show, with most of the action taking place over the river in Brooklyn's Barclay Center.

The Manhattan Center audience were forced to sit in their expensive seats and watch much of the show on a screen. They got a Drew Gulak & Tony Nese vs. Akira Tozawa & Hideo Itami dark match, along with untelevised appearances from Ric Flair, The Miz, and Seth Rollins, but nothing could temper the understandably toxic atmosphere.
