Plans changed for Keith Lee on this week's episode of WWE Raw, according to a new report from PWInsider's Mike Johnson.

The former NXT Champion was originally booked to face The Miz in a singles match on Monday. This was flipped to a handicap match against Miz and John Morrison, with the heels taking the victory in what the announcers tried to put over as a "lucky win." Per the report, Lee would have lost the singles bout as well.

On top of this, timing issues with the show are said to have upset a number of WWE officials. Something, somewhere, ran over its allotted time, leading to the broadcast suddenly ending before Drew McIntyre and AJ Styles' WWE Championship Ascension Ceremony had reached its natural conclusion, sparking the backstage frustration.

Much tinkering was done to the script throughout the day, as is the norm for Raw, though it's believed that most of the content came out as originally intended. Though certain chunks of dialogue were rewritten, most of the changes related to segment placement and show order.

The end product was one of the most poorly-received shows of the year - and a complete ratings flop.
