WWE has unquestionably missed live fans in attendance over the past 18 months, but they may have wished to be back in the Thunderdome last night as a Chicago crowd hijacked Raw with chants for Bray Wyatt, Becky Lynch, and (of course) CM Punk.
The raucous audience overshadowed a rollercoaster of a show which featured major developments ahead of SummerSlam in a few weeks, some enjoyable & some instantly forgettable matches, and Drew McIntyre threatening to murder Jinder Mahal and his goons with a sword.
Nikki A.S.H. and Charlotte Flair faced off in a no holds barred main event which garnered "This is awesome!" chants from the wild Chi-town fans. The two women brawled to a thrilling conclusion which saw Flair miss the former Nikki Cross with a spear, crash through a table propped into the corner and get pinned by the Raw Women's Champion to add more intrigue to the upcoming triple threat at SummerSlam.
They will be joined at the pay-per-view by Bobby Lashley vs. Goldberg which was made official last night, McIntyre & Mahal seem destined for a summer showdown, but will Randy Orton even return to save his friend Riddle who got destroyed by one half of the tag champs?!
