WWE Raw Star Officially Gets New Ring Name
WWE took this Raw wrestler and gave them a new ring name last night.
Mia Yim is now officially known as "Michin" in WWE.
The promotion has formally changed Yim's ring name after seemingly introducing "Michin" as a nickname on last week's show. Then, it was explained that the term translates from Korean to English as "crazy", with the new tag forming part of Mia's new character since returning to WWE and aligning with The OC.
WWE's broadcasters still referred to the former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion as her real name during yesterday's Raw, though Michin got greater use than on the previous episode. On top of this, WWE.com now lists her as Michin, not Mia Yim.
WWE filed a trademark application for Michin with the USPTO on 7 November 2022, doing so for the following purpose:-
IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment
Yim has been back in WWE since 7 November, re-debuting on that night's Raw as The OC's solution to their Rhea Ripley problem in the group's feud with The Judgment Day. Prior to this, the promotion's previous regime had released her in November 2021, ending a run that commenced in 2018.
