Shinsuke Nakamura is surely heading for a World Title showdown with reigning champion Seth Rollins following events on Monday's episode of WWE Raw.

The reborn heel cracked Rollins with a knee strike following their six-man tag main event (alongside Cody Rhodes) vs. Judgment Day, and it looks like he'll be Seth's next challenger for the top Raw belt at Payback on 2 September.

WWE hasn't made the match official though, so there's also still time for them to announce some sort of multi-man challenge for Rollins in Pittsburgh next month instead. If that's the case, then don't be surprised if Cody is left out of the party - he'd be much stronger as a solo challenger for the strap.

Naka could work as a one-off hurdle for Seth anyway, especially if he's heated up a little more on TV over the coming few weeks before the next PLE. Shinsuke previously showed off some heel work during a mini-feud with Tommaso Ciampa and Bronson Reed, but it looked like creative had gone cold on that idea before Monday's edition of Raw.

Is Shinsuke vs. Seth a shoe-in for Payback? It looks likely.
