WWE Raw Tag Team Titles To Be Defended At WrestleMania 38

RK-Bro will defend against Street Profits, but another team could join the fray.

RK-Bro might have just won the Raw Tag Team Championship last week in an incredible triple threat match, but the duo quickly were challenged and accepted on last night's Raw.

The new tag champs were in the ring celebrating their big win, with Randy Orton throwing the party this time around and modestly succeeding because Riddle's standards weren't super-high. The celebration was cut short when the Street Profits came out to remind RK-Bro that they had defeated the duo two weeks earlier, and thus should be in line.

Orton initially turned the Profits down, noting all the work they put in just to get their title rematch, including winning a spelling bee (as part of the academic challenge). But Riddle convinced Randy, pointing out that they needed an opponent for WrestleMania 38. The segment ended with a heated back-and-forth between Riddle and Montez Ford leading to a singles match between the two.

That match came to an abrupt end when Alpha Academy jumped both teams, causing a DQ and leaving all four men laid out. This presumably would set up the former champs joining the tag title match, making it another triple threat. If given the time and creative freedom, this could be another show-stealing tag match, and Ford could pull some insane move to wow a WrestleMania crowd.

It's shocking to think that Raw has three tag teams that have this much juice despite a diminished roster and typically poor booking. But all three teams are immensely popular and have plenty of good qualities, and they all can go in the ring. Here's hoping they get the opportunity to shine.
