WWE Raw's Main Event - CM Punk vs. Mark Henry

If Punk wins he will face Alberto Del Rio for the WWE Title at Survivor Series.

The main event for Monday night's Raw SuperShow has been announced. CM Punk will take on World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry in a non-title match. If Punk wins he will face Alberto Del Rio for the WWE Title at Survivor Series. The match was made by Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis, who stated this on WWE.com (and can't you just imagine him saying it too!);

"After giving this CM Punk situation serious consideration, I've reached a decision. In my deliberations as Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Interim General Manager of Raw, I concluded that although Punk is extremely talented, he has lost several matches recently. As a result, I've decided that he must prove he's worthy of a WWE Title opportunity. This Monday night, Punk must compete against World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry. If Punk wins, he will face Alberto Del Rio for the WWE Championship at Survivor Series. I wish both men a good match."
The match was of course teased last Monday and at this point there looks to be no other challenger for Del Rio's title, so I would expect Punk to be victorious. Monday night's Raw will also see Michael Cole vs. Jim Ross in an 'Announcer's Match', where the winner will host Raw permanently. I would like to think that CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio will be the main event of the show but after seeing both American announcers in the main event of Mexico's Raw SuperShow (where SPANISH announcers host their shows every week), anything is truly possible.
