PWInsider.com are reporting that WWE decided to release Tough Enough winner Josh Bredl at the tail end of last week.

Bredl won the competition back in the Summer of 2015, immediately began training at the WWE Performance Center and was renamed Bronson Matthews for NXT live events. His departure means both Tough Enough Season 6 winners have been released. The female winner, Sara Lee, had already been released in October, 2016.

Despite having a well-muscled, handsome look, Bredl hadn't been seen in quite some time. According to PWInsider, he hadn't even been training at the Performance Center at all due to concussion issues that kept him benched.

Concussions are a particularly touchy subject in WWE nowadays, so it makes sense to believe head injury issues were behind Bredl's release if the company worried the problem was recurring.

Rumours on social media shortly after WrestleMania 33 suggested that WWE had cut ties with Bredl, but those turned out to be false. PWInsider have confirmed the latest reports to be true however. They bring to an end the period of injury hell Bredl had experienced in WWE.
