WWE Report: Asuka Could Miss WrestleMania 37?

Recent reports suggest Charlotte Flair's WrestleMania 37 match with Asuka is up in the air.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Asuka's WrestleMania 37 status remains up in the air right now.

WWE's reigning Raw Women's Champion lost a tooth and suffered a nasty concussion when Shayna Baszler blasted her with a stiff kick on the 22 February episode of Raw. Asuka hasn't been seen since then, and Dave Meltzer isn't sure if she'll be back in time for 'Mania on 10-11 April.

Charlotte Flair is currently being lined up as Asuka's title challenger for the April pay-per-view, but that might not happen if the Japanese star doesn't recover in time; this would also be the second time Charlotte's 'Mania plans have been derailed. Previously, she was scheduled for a one-on-one bout with Lacey Evans before the heel fell pregnant.

Could Asuka's injury mean that WWE will have to come up with something else for Flair? It's possible.

There's no timetable for Asuka's return, which is worrying. Her health is clearly paramount here, not a match with Charlotte and not WrestleMania. Asuka is as tough as they come, but it remains to be seen if she'll be medically cleared for a major match in time.
