The Headbangers recently inked a "nostalgia contract" with WWE, and it looks like the promotion will soon produce a new line of merchandise for the popular 'Attitude Era' act.

Both Mosh and Thrasher posted happy messages on social media spreading the news. They're delighted to be back under WWE contract, but now fans are wondering if the tag-team might show up on TV for a match or two this year.

That's unlikely, although not impossible; The Headbangers did return to WWE rings for a brief run back in 2016. The pair even entered a tournament to crown the first SmackDown Tag-Team Champions, but lost to Heath Slater and Rhyno in the first round.

A loss to The Usos and an appearance in a 16-man tag on the 900th episode of SmackDown followed, then Mosh and Thrasher quietly disappeared again. Don't totally rule out the thought of them working a short bout here or there in 2023.

These "nostalgia contracts" are typically reserved for legacy licensing and merch though. Some new Headbangers t-shirts, action figures and more will likely land on WWE Shop very soon.
