With WWE having spent the past couple of months largely pre-recording shows, now comes word that the company is soon to return to live programming.
According to the ever-reliably WrestleVotes, WWE is planning to pick-up with live programming on the go-home edition of SmackDown on August 21.
From there, WWE would continue to air NXT TakeOver XXX, WWE SummerSlam, and the following Monday’s Raw all live. SmackDown, SummerSlam, and Raw would all emanate from the same locale, while NXT will take place from Full Sail.
Right now, it’s not known exactly where WWE will be broadcasting that SmackDown, SummerSlam, and Raw from, but Vince McMahon is busting his d*ck off to try and find somewhere, anywhere to host these shows from that isn’t the WWE Performance Center.
The last we’d heard, Vince is desperately trying to find some in the Northeast (no, not Newcastle) to host the majority of SummerSlam weekend – and there are still tentative plans to have at least a miniscule amount of fans in attendance if at all possible.
Given how SummerSlam weekend is only two weeks away, WWE will need to make an announcement on all of this sooner rather than later.
