WWE Reveals Start Date For 2023 Draft
The 2023 WWE Draft officially has a start date! WWE announced it on SmackDown.
WWE announced exactly when the 2023 version of their Draft will begin on Friday's episode of SmackDown, and fans don't have to wait long.
In fact, the 2023 Draft begins in just two short weeks. It'll kick off on the 28 April edition of SmackDown, then continue on the following Monday's episode of Raw. There's no word quite yet on formatting - many are already dreading those boring announcement inserts from Adam Pearce.
He and Sonya Deville sucked the life out of the Draft several years ago in 2021. Stephanie McMahon did the same when revealing picks during the prior 2020 Draft. Surely, WWE can come up with something more exciting for this year's incarnation?
They might have to.
Triple H announced plans for the Draft on last week's SmackDown, but he didn't go into details on how it'd work. The promotion also stalled until Friday to announce dates for its latest roster reshuffle. Most fans and critics would agree that WWE has its work cut out for it in terms of getting folks excited for the Draft.
Regardless, it starts just a fortnight from now.
