WWE Reveals The Final Member Of Team SmackDown For Survivor Series
Team SmackDown is finally complete now that this man has joined pre-Survivor Series.
WWE eventually revealed the final member of the SmackDown men's Survivor Series team on Friday's show.
Sheamus defeated Cesaro, Jinder Mahal and Ricochet in a four-way match to secure his spot - notably, Ridge Holland was the one who helped the Irishman get the win. Holland had been talking about how much of an inspiration Sheamus is to him in recent weeks, and it appears they'll be a team going forwards.
Last week, Ridge even told Cesaro that he and the Swiss star's old partner would be an improved version of The Bar.
That remains to be seen, but here's what WWE do know: Sheamus will join Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy, Happy Corbin and King Woods on 'Team SmackDown' at this Sunday's pay-per-view. He's a replacement for Sami Zayn, who was taken off the team after a loss to Hardy on the prior episode.
Zayn is now using that as part of his never-ending conspiracy claim against the company, which is good fun.
Sheamus, in fairness, does give the SmackDown squad some much-needed heel flavour. Only he and Corbin are villains. Everyone else is a beloved babyface, so it's good to have some balance again.
