WWE Royal Rumble: 10 Most Surprising Entrants Of All Time

9. Road Dogg (2012)

Road Dogg In January 2001, fan favourite Road Dogg was released from his WWE contract due to personal problems. Following his departure he €“ like Booker T €“ spent much of his time away in TNA, and for seven years he was a member of the TNA roster as BG James. In late-2011, it was announced that Road Dogg had returned to WWE as a producer and he appeared on WWE television in December to present CM Punk with a Slammy Award. Eleven years after his WWE departure, Road Dogg returned to the WWE ring at 2012€™s Royal Rumble. He managed a five-minute stretch in the match before being eliminated by Wade Barrett. Road Dogg remains in WWE as an agent and also as a host of web series €˜Are you Serious?€™ with Josh Mathews. The much loved Road Dogg has reunited with D-Generation X and even teamed with Billy Gunn again since his welcome return to WWE.

8. Kharma (2012)

Another surprise entry from 2012; Kharma returned much to the shock of the WWE audience, after a seven month absence from WWE television. Kharma is only the third female superstar to enter a Royal Rumble match (after Chyna and Beth Phoenix) proving that she is indeed a force to be reckoned with inside the squared circle. She confirmed this, taking out both Michael Cole and Dolph Ziggler before eliminating Hunico. Her stint in the match wasn€™t long-lasting however, and she was eliminated after just over a minute by an unforgiving Ziggler. Kharma€™s Royal Rumble entry turned out to be her one and only official WWE contest; she was released from the organisation just six months later. http://youtu.be/0DbmFzFs5fQ
