Dean Ambrose is in a similar position to Stone Cold Steve Austin in 1997... he's on the cusp and you feel like it wouldn't take much for WWE to give him the brass ring.
He will surely be teased as one of the favourites and enter a memorable performance in this year's Royal Rumble. He's possibly the most unlikely favourite but a Dean Ambrose vs John Cena main event at WrestleMania sure has shades of Austin vs Hart.
Keep an eye on the Lunatic fringe. Him winning is one of those swerves that you shouldn't be totally surprised by.
