WWE Royal Rumble 2016: How Every Elimination Happened
How did Triple H win his 14th world title?
Well done WWE, you certainly pulled it out of the bag this year. After four years of predictable, uninspiring and downright frustrating Royal Rumble matches, we finally got something to get excited about. While there was nothing in the way of returns from old timers that so often makes an over the top rope spectacular just that, we had a couple of surprise entrants from younger models that certainly got the blood pumping. We also had a few spots that were certainly unexpected, none more so than Triple H dumping WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns over the top rope ensuring that we'd definitely see a new champion crowned. That said, seeing The Game go on and win the whole match was not at all a surprise given he and Reigns have seemingly been set to face off in the main event of WrestleMania ever since Seth Rollins was struck down with an injury. Even though it was a pretty predictable choice to have HHH go over, The Rumble provided us with enough thrills to make it bearable.
