WWE Royal Rumble 2017: 10 Things That Must Happen

7. Charlotte Retains Against Bayley

Ever since debuting at WrestleMania 32, the Raw Women's Title has bounced around a fair bit. Only Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks have held the belt, although both have done so multiple times. Banks has been champ three times and Flair four.

As things move towards WrestleMania 33, WWE should endeavour to slow things down with the championship. Should Bayley dethrone Charlotte at Royal Rumble, Flair would be completely undermined as a dominant heel character. Right now, she needs that title to stick for a good few months.

It's unlikely that Bayley will get the nod to become champion at the moment. At some point in the future, sure, but not on 29 January. Perhaps management will crown the babyface at 'Mania, as a win on the biggest pay-per-view of the entire year would have more value than any hotshot decision here.

By hook or by crook, Charlotte must hold onto the title. Things are surely heading towards a multi-woman situation come 'Mania, and if she cheats at the Rumble then there's scope for a rematch at Fastlane.
