WWE Royal Rumble 2023: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

7. Ronda Rousey Wins The Women’s Rumble

Ronda herself has been chewing the fat with fans via gaming streams and claiming she won't be in the house come the Rumble. Similar reports elsewhere in the media suggest the same sort of thing, but this could easily be a ruse to throw people off the scent.

It better not be.

Rousey won the Rumble last year, and it...didn't get quite the reaction WWE had hoped. People are kinda bored of the 'Baddest' one these days. The bloom is off the rose, so to speak, and the company always has a tough time finding the right opponents for her whether she's heel or baby. So, another Rumble win would be disastrous for the women's division.

This is Rhea Ripley's time, and nothing can change this writer's mind on that. Plus, repeat winners only work when they're wanted (like Shawn Michaels going back-to-back in 1995 and 1996). Ronda becoming a two-time Rumble winner and slipping right back into a feud with Charlotte Flair = hard pass.
