WWE Rumoured To Be In Talks To Buy EVOLVE?

According to the Wrestling Observer newsletter, WWE could be involved in talks to purchase US-based promotion EVOLVE Wrestling. The report claims that WWE could buy the promotion and air it's content on the WWE Network if a deal can be completed.
The popular indie promotion, which has previously featured Ricochet, Johnny Gargano and Drew Galloway amongst others, have had a partnership with WWE for the past three years. As a result of this, EVOLVE wrestlers have appeared on WWE.com, NXT stars like Sami Zayn & Chad Gable have cameoed at EVOLVE shows, and EVOLVE even hosted matches in the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic.
Vince McMahon has allegedly been considering a deal for the past two years as WWE continues to work with smaller promotions both in the US and UK in order to develop talent and use it as a potential scouting platform.
WWE's new TV deals with Fox Sports and NBCUniversal should free up some extra money if they want to complete this deal and add EVOLVE to the Network, potentially joining the likes of Progress and ICW.
