NXT UK could be about to become the latest WWE brand to be hit by roster cuts.

Per the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, WWE is considering trimming its colossal talent pool further after a hectic couple of months that have seen the likes of Samoa Joe, Mickie James, and Velveteen Dream leave the promotion through multiple rounds of releases.

Some wrestlers from NXT UK after reportedly amongst those being considered for release. There's no word on who, exactly, WWE may look at cutting, though it is believed that the likes of WALTER, Kay Lee Ray, Trent Seven, and Tyler Bate are all safe.

WWE's latest round of releases went down last week. The first round saw eight NXT-affiliated performers let go from the promotion, including controversial referee Drake Wuertz, before Velveteen Dream (who hadn't wrestled since December 2020) was released the following day. While the reason for Dream's release is yet to be reported on, the first eight were attributed to "budget cuts."

A pretaped show, NXT UK currently broadcasts on Peacock and WWE Network on Thursday evenings, as well as airing on BT Sport in the United Kingdom.
