WWE have signed Irish independent star Valkyrie, as confirmed by her home country's premier outfit, Fight Factory Pro Wrestling.

The promotion Tweeted earlier today that their former Irish Junior Heavyweight Champion - who has been involved in NXT UK tapings over the past few days - will soon be working for the company permanently:

Valkyrie, real name Aoife Cusack, is only 23 years old, but has already been competing for over half a decade. In that short time, the Dublin-born youngster has accrued various championships on the UK independent scene, including the EVE tag titles alongside Debbie Keitel as The Woke Queens, and the OTT Women's Championship.

In August 2018, she bested new NXT UK colleague Jordan Devlin for FFPW's Irish Junior Heavyweight strap, going on to enjoy a 450 day reign with the belt before vacating it at the end of last year.

Valkyrie was in action on NXT UK tapings twice over the weekend, beating Amale and Isla Dawn in her two matches.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
