It looks like WWE has taken another big name off the free agency market, with Timothy Thatcher the latest wrestler to reportedly sign with the sport's grandest promotion.

Casey Michael, an insider with a proven track record when it comes to all things Performance Center related, tweeted the following earlier today:-

If accurate, Thatcher is an interesting pick-up for WWE. He doesn't fit the typical blueprint of what the promotion go for stylistically or aesthetically. A hard-nosed grinder of a ring technician, his holds, stretches, and strikes are realistic and impactful, though his work isn't exactly in keeping with NXT's all-action pop-fests.

Regardless, Thatcher is a wonderful, wonderful pro-wrestler, a traditionalist, and a long-time associate of current United Kingdom Championship WALTER. Both played prominent roles in the Ringkampf stable on which NXT UK's Imperium was based, with Marcel Barthel also part of the PROGRESS/wXw group. This gives Thatcher a great point of entry should WWE choose to place him on that brand.

Thatcher hasn't been active in 2020 so far, with a victory over NXT UK's Kassius Ohno at PROGRESS Chapter 99 on 15 December 2019 his last documented bout on Cagematch.
