The latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX brought in an average of 2.043 million viewers overnight which was an increase on last week's show, according to Showbuzz Daily.

It's the second week in a row that SmackDown has managed to improve on the previous week's ratings, with the May 10 iteration of the programme scoring a 2.040 million average overnight. SmackDown also scored a 0.55 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Clearly the addition of NXT Women's Champion Charlotte Flair must have helped entice viewers into tuning in to the latest episode of SmackDown. Flair's Brand-To-Brand invitation appearance was accompanied by two Intercontinental Championship Tournament matches (Daniel Bryan Vs Drew Gulak and King Corbin Vs Elias) and a tag team encounter which saw 'Mr. Money in the Bank' Otis and Universal Champion Braun Strowman taking on The Miz and John Morrison in the main event.

A Flair Vs Bayley 'Champion Vs Champion' match has been announced for next week's show, alongside two more Intercontinental Championship Tournament matches (AJ Styles Vs Shinsuke Nakamura and Jeff Hardy Vs Sheamus).

Will we see SmackDown's ratings improve for the third week in a row?
