Bad news for the Bludgeon Brothers.

Current WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion Rowan could be set for a spell on the sidelines after injuring his arm at SummerSlam 2018.

This is according to PW Insider, who state that Rowan was assessed yesterday after suffering a knock while wrestling The New Day on Sunday night, though there's currently no word on the severity.

The pay-per-view saw The Bludgeon Brothers retain their belts via disqualification. The New Day had Harper set up for the Midnight Hour, but Rowan hit the ring with one of their war-hammer props, prompting the referee's decision and seemingly keeping their feud alive.

It was the first time the duo had looked in real jeopardy after taking the gold at WrestleMania 34, though they've struggled to get over since rebranding in October 2017. Still, they've been a dominant force on SmackDown, and it'd be a shame to see that screech to a halt on account of an injury.

There's a chance we'll learn more on Rowan's status ahead of (or during) tonight's SmackDown, as they're set to face The New Day in a No Disqualification rematch. Let's hope he's well enough to compete.
