WWE SmackDown Viewership Rises 3.7%
Well, a few people must really love cake.
Showbuzz Daily are reporting that WWE were averaging 2.503 million viewers for Friday Night SmackDown, which was up 3.7% from last week's edition of the show.
Along with this improvement, SmackDown also managed to score a 0.75 rating in the vital 18-49 demographic and this score ranked as highly as number 2 for the evening overall - just behind Hawaii Five-O.
Fox will be happy to see that the current questionable product - which is being paraded around on the blue brand - hasn't scared too many people away in recent weeks and with the viewership actually improving this week, could this provoke Vince McMahon into putting more of his eggs into Otis' cake escapades with Mandy Rose?
The show managed to place eighth overall amongst other networks - based on its total viewership - with shows like Blue Bloods, Dateline NBC, Magnum P.I., 20/20 and Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector all out-scoring SmackDown on the night. Blue Bloods even managed 7.87 million viewers.
A steady improvement will be a welcome sight for Fox, after SmackDown looked to be in the midst of a slump so soon after arriving on their programming.
