WWE SPOILER On The Miz's Partner Against Mysterios At WrestleMania 38
The reality star might be looking to a familiar celebrity to battle father/son duo.
After suffering a loss during the Elimination Chamber kickoff show against Rey Mysterio - with a little help from his son Dominik - the Miz declared that he was going to find a tag partner to help him fight the luchadores.
Giving a backstage interview during the show, Miz said he would find "someone who is a superlative athlete" and a "global superstar," then indicated he had someone in mind and rushed off to make a phone call.
PWInsider is reporting that word backstage is that Miz's tag partner will be no other than YouTuber and social media personality Logan Paul, presumably setting up a tag match against Rey & Dominik at WrestleMania 38. If true, this wouldn't be Paul's first foray into WWE, as he appeared at Mania 37 as Sami Zayn's guest. Logan ate a Stunner from Kevin Owens after the match.
Interestingly, Paul and Miz were involved in an August 2021 Raw segment where Miz interrupted an interview with the celebrity and the two argued, with Paul threatening to knock him out at one point. WWE could explain this away if and when Paul appears on Raw again, or they could just choose to ignore this discontinuity.
Paul has competed in a handful of boxing matches, including a controversial bout against former world champion (and WrestleMania 24 veteran) Floyd Mayweather Jr. last year. It's unclear how physical he would get in a tag match, but we've seen celebrities like Bad Bunny mix it up pretty well recently.
