WWE Star Quietly Moved To SmackDown Roster
This ultra-talented WWE star is NXT no more...
At least on WWE's external roster listing, Dragon Lee has been moved from NXT to SmackDown.
Navigating to WWE.com's 'Superstars' page - and Lee's profile within it - shows Lee has been re-assigned from developmental. This cements a recent main roster stint that continued on Friday's episode of SmackDown, when Lee defeated former United States Champion Austin Theory via distraction roll-up.
Prior to this, Lee had challenged Dominik Mysterio for the NXT North American Championship on Raw's 25 September episode. He then wrestled in a four-way contendership match for the same belt on NXT the following night, but was unsuccessful, with Trick Williams prevailing in a match also featuring Axiom and Tyler Bate.
Dragon Lee is still relatively new to WWE, having only signed with the market-leading promotion in December 2022. He has been a wrestler since 2014, establishing himself as one of the planet's most cutting-edge lucha libre practitioners in Mexico and earning mass acclaim for his work in NJPW as the decade progressed.
Though he has yet to taste gold in WWE, Lee, 31, is a former ROH World Tag Team and Television Champion, having also held CMLL's World Welterweight and Lightweight belts, plus the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.
