WWE Star Reportedly Dealing With Serious Injury

Here's why you haven't seen this WWE man (or his partner) on TV lately.

Viking Raiders man Erik is currently struggling with a serious foot injury.

Michael Cole dished some details on the situation during this past Friday's episode of SmackDown. According to the WWE announcer, Erik suffered the injury during that 'Viking Rules' brawl vs. New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods on the 2 September show (taped 26 August).

The Raiders won that, and seemed destined to get a crack at The Usos and their Undisputed Tag-Team gold soon after. Sadly, if that was indeed the plan, then Triple H's creative team has had to postpone it for now. Butch and Ridge Holland were confirmed as the new tag title challengers on this week's edition.

There's no word quite yet on just how long Erik will be benched for. This is also bad news for his partner, Ivar - WWE probably won't feature the other Raider much on TV until his buddy has healed up. So, in short, don't expect to see The Viking Raiders for another few weeks (at least) on SmackDown.

Hopefully, this doesn't derail the pair's momentum too much. They were kicking ass pre-injury.
