WWE Star Set For Lengthy Hiatus Post-Surgery?
A WWE wrestler just updated fans on his roster status after going under the knife.
Robert Roode has updated fans on his status after undergoing surgery.
The WWE man posted on his official Instagram page to give people a thumbs up after going under the knife, but didn't elaborate on exactly what his injury was or why he was having an operation. Roode hasn't wrestled since losing to Omos on a company house show in late-June.
That 25 June loss to Omos came following a string of defeats to Veer Mahaan on the road.
The former Dirty Dawgs man's last TV match was WWE's Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal shortly before WrestleMania 38 on the 1 April edition of SmackDown. Meanwhile, Roode's last singles TV bout was a loss to Bron Breakker on the 22 March episode of NXT 2.0.
Roode did indicate that the surgery had been successful, and noted that he's "heading home" to recuperate. There's currently no timescale on his return to the ring, meaning it could be a while before you see the 'Glorious' one again.
That gimmick was a popular one during Roode's time under Triple H on NXT, so it could prove fruitful when he eventually starts wrestling again.
