WWE Star Wants To Be 'More Than Just A Tag-Team Guy'

Tag wrestling is all well and good, but this celebrated WWE man fancies being more.

Chad Gable has revealed that he's busily trying to change perceptions of his skillset behind the scenes in WWE. In short, the Alpha Academy leader doesn't want to be "typecast" as a "tag-team guy" any longer.

The celebrated grappler told company cameras during a special chat with Byron Saxton that he's been "asking for opportunities" and is "ready to do a singles thing". That's not to say Gable hates teaming with Otis on TV, or that he hasn't been enjoying the group's newfound dynamic with Maxxine on Raw.

Chad just fancies proving a point that he's one of the best all-rounders WWE has available.

It's worth saying that he was mainly in character for the promo with Saxton, but most of what Gable said sounded like real frustration bubbling to the surface. He's been largely overlooked for years, but recent flirtations with the Intercontinental Title have piqued his attention and the collective imaginations of wrestling fans.

Now, Chad wants more of that good stuff. If WWE gives him a long-term chance, Gable has vowed that he's "not going to waste it". Roll on a rematch with GUNTHER!
