WWE Stars To Miss Out On WrestleMania 36 Bonuses?

This year's 'Showcase of the Immortals' could be a meagre payday.

Take this one with a pinch of salt, but there's a chance WWE's wrestlers could miss out on their usual bonuses for performing at WrestleMania this year.

Such is the word of Tom Colohue, who claims to have heard that most performers will earn only their guaranteed downside for competing at 'The Showcase of the Immortals,' with fewer bonuses handed out than usual.

'Mania would typically be one of WWE's most lucrative annual paydays. This makes sense as the biggest show of the year, though there's a strong chance certain wrestlers now make more money from the promotion's Saudi Arabian excursions. This year, with WrestleMania taped across two days in an empty Performance Center and the show robbed of its bombast, it's easy to see why things might be different.

Again though: pinch of salt. Wrestler pay is always a sketchy subject as accurate numbers are rarely released officially.

With the Andre the Giant Memorial and WrestleMania Women's battle royals both rendered impossible in 2020, far fewer people will be at this year's show than usual. There are still 16 matches on the card but the lineup is thinner, owing, of course, to the ongoing global situation.
