WWE Summerslam 2013: 10 Best Moments From The Biggest Party Of The Summer

1. Randy Orton Cashes In On Triple H Double-Cross

But the night was not over, as like he has done at the end of every recent broadcast of RAW and Smackdown, Randy Orton came out to the ring with his Money in the Bank briefcase in his hand. His music blared out from the speakers as he slowly made his way to the ring, and Bryan stood with the title on his shoulder, waiting for Orton to make his move. It appeared Orton was going to wait for another night and give Bryan the respect he deserved after a tremendous performance, and walked up the ramp, before stopping and looking over is shoulder. Then, the shock of the night, as Triple H saw this turn as the indication to Pedigree the new WWE Champion into the mat to the disbelief of all those in attendance. The man that had stood up for Bryan in the face of Vince McMahon and Brad Maddox, had turned on him just when it seemed the night was over. Randy Orton returned to the ring, casually handed the briefcase to Triple H, the bell was rung, and we crowned our second new WWE Champion of the night. Orton stood with the championship in his hand and raised it high for the first time since 2010, and once again he was stood atop the mountain in one of the most heinous manners possible. They left no indication of where events might be going, but the one thing for certain is that the age of Orton has begun. Although many will be upset, angered and confused by these events, the potential Bryan/Orton feud over the WWE Championship is going to push the Bearded One onto the next level. The clean victory over Cena was important in establishing him as the next star in the company, and this feud will be designed to make him one of the biggest faces in the company. With Triple H's actions and betrayal, Bryan is now public enemy number one with the establishment, and Orton will almost certainly become the face and jewel in the crown that the top brass in the company want to push as their star. This will kick Bryan up to the main event where he is now never likely to leave, and will eventually bring Cena back as well as part of this situation. I think that no matter your feelings of this incident will provide some compelling and explosive action in the upcoming months for the company, and the future in general.
