WWE SummerSlam 2014: 10 Things We Expect To Happen
After this week's RAW the summer has hotted up and there's lots to be excited about.
WWE.comSummerSlam is traditionally the biggest pay-per-view of the summer. Touting a major main event and an undercard featuring the top storylines in World Wrestling Entertainment, the show has become second to only WrestleMania in importance. With a consistent home in the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the event attracts celebrities looking for a night out at the matches. With glitz, glam and spectacle setting apart from the other non-Mania events on the calendar, there is something about the show that makes it a favorite of longtime wrestling fans. This year's event is shaping up to be one of the biggest ever, ensuring that the event will maintain its prestige. New WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena is expected to defend his title if he is able to escape July 20's Battleground pay-per-view with it still in his grasp. Brock Lesnar, the man who conquered the previously unconquerable undefeated WrestleMania streak of The Undertaker, should make his return to WWE pay-per-view. The surging Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins all figure to play prominent roles while there are questions surrounding Triple H and whether he will lace his boots for another big payday. The recent returns of Chris Jericho, AJ Lee and The Miz will help bolster the star power on the card and should make for some fresh match-ups. Considering the somewhat stale pairings WWE has presented over the last two months, that is definitely a good thing. What those stars, as well as the aforementioned ones do at the show is the biggest question facing fans and management alike.
