Starting all the way back in 2002, The Beast Incarnate has fought in eight matches at the biggest party of the summer, six of which have been main events.

Of these eight matches, four have been title matches, but incredibly, Lesnar has only entered the event as champion once. This was last year when he retained against Strowman, Reigns, and Samoa Joe. The Beast Incarnate also left the event as champion after beating The Rock in 2002, and after beating John Cena in 2014.

The only title opportunity he did not take advantage of was in 2003 against Kurt Angle, tapping out to the Angle Lock despite the help of Vince McMahon.

In 2012 and 2013, Lesnar competed in two no disqualification matches against Triple H and CM Punk respectively, making The Game tap out to his Kimura Lock, and besting Punk thanks to an F5 onto a steel chair.

In 2015 and 2016, Brock fought two more non title matches. Two years ago, he earned a victory over Randy Orton by TKO, after hitting The Viper with an elbow to the temple, leaving him in a pool of his own blood. A year before that, Brock suffered only his second ever loss at SummerSlam at the hands of The Undertaker.

This time it was Brock that lost by way of technical knockout, passing out while locked in Undertaker's Hell's Gate submission move.
