WWE SummerSlam 2019: 10 Matches That Must Happen

1. Kofi Kingston vs. Brock Lesnar

Initial temptation to break up The New Day and book Kofi Kingston vs. Big E with Xavier Woods as the special ref was tempered by the realisation that hey, New Day still rock. It'd be nice to see a group who don't end up at loggerheads just because WWE want to plug a gap on pay-per-view. These guys have become brothers on the road in real-life, and there's no need to break them up.

Put Kofi in there with Brock Lesnar instead. It's a logical match, and it'd be Brock's first WWE Title chase in years.

Without trying to insult the man, it's true that Kofi is the softer target for Lesnar than Seth Rollins; Rollins has fought back against Brock's brutality as of late, and a shrewd snake like Paul Heyman would want to find an easier path to gold for his client. That'd be Kingston, and it'd lead to a rather epic underdog tale.

What a moment it'd be if Big E and Woods were there to celebrate with their New Day comrade after he somehow survived the 'Beast'. Or, should WWE deem it essential, Lesnar can get another World Title before SmackDown lands on FOX.
