With the 2020 edition of WWE's annual Survivor Series PPV currently in the spotlight, what better time to look back at where it all began for this November tradition.

Emanating from Ohio's Richfield Coliseum, the very first Survivor Series event took place on November 26, 1987.

The card on that night? That reads as follows.

- Team Savage vs. Team Honky Tonk Man

- Team Sherri vs. Team Moolah

- Team Strike Force vs. Team Hart Foundation

- Team Hogan vs. Team André

By modern standards, a four-match card seems unthinkable. But given the concept of the Survivor Series, those four matches featured a whole host of wrestlers, with the majority of the then-WWF's top stars all in action as Vince McMahon looked to make the Survivor Series a huge deal - particularly as McMahon created the Survivor Series to serve as direct opposition for the NWA's Starrcade event which was running on the very same night.

What has happened to the stars featured on the inaugural Survivor Series PPV in the years since then? Fortunately, we've got you covered there, for here we've got an update on each and every performer who appeared on that November '87 night.

With The Dream Team pairing of Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake having broken up earlier in the year, the 1987 Survivor Series found a Beefcake who had just turned face and began taken on the Barber as a nickname.

Brother Bruti was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019 and still has the occasional match on the independent scene in addition to making convention appearances. Beefcake released his autobiography - Struttin' & Cuttin' - in 2018.
