WWE Survivor Series 2015: 5 Worthy Sole Survivors
Who will stand victorious at the 29th installment of the Survivor Series PPV?
To become the sole survivor at Survivor Series is one of the WWE's unsung career achievements. The sole survivor is the person who outlasts every other participant in the traditional elimination tag-team match at the annual November Pay-Per-View event. To achieve this, every one of a superstar's partners must be eliminated, and they must defeat each of their remaining opponents alone. History suggests that becoming the sole survivor means you could be destined for success. One of the most recent examples of this is Roman Reigns in 2013, who this year outlasted twenty-nine other men to win the Royal Rumble, and proceeded to the main event of WrestleMania against Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Other names that spring to mind are The Rock, Nature Boy Ric Flair and The Big Show. Most impressively, however, Ultimate Warrior and Randy Orton both became the sole survivor of their teams for three years back-to-back between 1988 and 1990, and 2003 to 2005, respectively. In 2014 it was Dolph Ziggler finishing off The Authority for Team Cena with the help of Sting, and looking at this year, there are a number of wrestlers who are deserving, and couple benefit from, this spot. There are a few potential tag-team matches that could take place at the 2015 instalment of the PPV, so lets run through those most deserving of becoming the sole survivor.
