WWE Tag Team Splitting Up?

Tandem to go separate ways after failed Tag Team Title bid?

It looks like The IIconics may not be long for this world.

Billie Kay and Peyton Royce appear to be heading for a split after mounting an unsuccessful challenge for Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross' WWE Women's Tag Team Championships on last night's Raw. They lost via disqualification in just three minutes, as Royce was punished for losing control and repeatedly throwing Bliss into a ring post.

The IIconics were visibly upset in the aftermath. Cameras caught up with their backstage reaction minutes later, with Kay angry at Royce for costing them their big opportunity, then slapping her across the face. Billie looked shocked by her own actions and broke into tears, leading to them coming together for a hug to close things out.

The Australian duo had only just returned to television last week, having been absent since November 2019. Attached at the hip for the entirety of their WWE careers, they first started teaming together on the NXT house show loop in mid-2015, and are now so closely linked that it's hard to imagine one without the other.

We'll see where this storyline goes next week. For now, things don't look good in Camp IIconic.
