Reigning NXT Women's Tag-Team Champions and recent SmackDown draftees Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn worried their thick Scottish accents might hold them back on the main roster.

The pair told the Sunday Post that fellow Scots in the locker room helped form a close-knit community behind the scenes. All of them look out for one another, but that obviously only goes so far. It's Vince McMahon, Triple H and other company higher-ups that workers like Fyre and Dawn have to impress.

In an honest moment, both women admitted that they thought having an accent would "hold [them] back" a bit. That certainly hasn't been the case, at least not yet. Both would be mindful to chat with the likes of Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch or Sheamus for tips on how to navigate those particular waters backstage though.

Nikki Cross would be another option - she did a sparkling job of downplaying her own accent just enough without putting on a fake American twang that would've sounded totally false.

Alba and Isla will collide with Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler in what looks like a Women's Tag Title unification match on the 23 June SmackDown.
